Ahmed Asasa was buried in the soil of his village. He'd been shot in the neck from afar by an Israeli sniper. Two of his friends, who tried to come to his aid while he was bleeding to death, were also shot and wounded by snipers. Asasa was 15, a 10th-grader in the village high school. There was more than one Ahmed Asasa in this story: One of the friends who tried to help him, and one of the witnesses to the killing, also share the same name. Detta är tyvärr inget ovanligt öde som drabbar icke-judar i området.
Antingen skjuter man raketer rakt in i tätbebyggda områden kör bulldozers över demonstranter eller som här, fanatiska sionister som skjuter prick för nöjes skull...
Anonym har rätt. Jag påminns om en intervju med Chris Hedges, före dette korrespondent i Palestina för New York Times:
"And it was--I mean, I've seen kids shot in Sarajevo. I mean, snipers would shoot kids in Sarajevo. I've seen death squads kill families in Algeria or El Salvador. But I'd never seen soldiers bait or taunt kids like this and then shoot them for sport. It was--I just--even now, I find it almost inconceivable. And I went back every day, and every day it was the same."
